• Hello!

I’m Dan Patterson, and I’ve been making complex things easier to use since before “UX” was a job title. I started my career conducting needs assessments for Fortune 500 companies building CBT training, spent years as an Information Architect, and have been practicing UX design and research ever since. That’s a career’s worth of putting users at the center of the work.

I prefer to lead the end-to-end UX process — research, information architecture, design, and validation, but I’m at my best working on complex enterprise problems — the kind of work where getting the details right actually matters to people’s jobs and a company’s bottom line. I also have deep ecommerce experience, and I make time for mission-driven projects like the Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types, because some work is good for the soul.

When I’m not working, my family keeps me on my toes. I spend time with my dogs and moonlight as a standup comedian.

    Here is my resume.
